Some frequently asked questions about CPC Sheffield

What options are available for my pet?

This will vary depending on the size of the pet. Usually, the process takes anywhere from 1 to 3 hours. However, we prioritise the significance of this moment and never rush the process, ensuing the utmost care and respect for your pet.

The cost of pet cremation is approximately one-tenth of human cremation fees. Pricing varies based on whether your pet is handled by your vet or taken directly to one of our crematoria. For detailed pricing and options visit our pricing page. Rest assured; we are transparent with pricing when making arrangements.

Please ask your veterinary practice if they use CPC.

Ultimately, it is up to you what you do with your pet’s ashes – there are no wrong answers to how you choose to grieve. Some options include keeping them in an urn or casket, or even in jewellery to keep them close. Scatter them in a cherished spot with one of our scattering tubes in a place of significance for you and your pet, or alternatively inter them in our Garden of Remembrance for a meaningful tribute. Some clients choose to keep the ashes in a beech casket and when their own times comes it is their wish to be cremated with their pets’ ashes.

If your pet passes in the evening, contacting your vet the next morning is recommended. For after-hours or weekend/bank holiday situations, reach out to your local out-of-hours veterinary practice for guidance. Meanwhile, ensure your pet is kept cool by placing them in their bed, covered with a blanket, in a cool area.
